Shirtless, Begging For Life: Viral ‘Last Photo’ Captures What Happened Moments Before Renukaswamy’s Murder – News18

Karnataka Police has accessed photos of Renukaswamy begging for mercy during his assault by Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his gang, moments before his death. One photo of a shirtless Renukaswamy, 33, sporting an injury mark and appearing scared was accessed by News18. Another photo showed Renukaswamy on the floor after being assaulted.

The photos emerged after the Karnataka Police submitted the chargesheet in the kidnap and murder case of Renukaswamy, detailing the role of jailed Kannada superstar Darshan and others involved. The chargesheet also contains the details of the brutal and inhumane torture incurred upon Renukaswamy up until his death.

“After being assaulted by Darshan and his gang, Renukaswamy’s chest bones were broken. There are a total of 39 injury marks all over his body. There is also a deep cut on the victim’s head,” the chargesheet read.

It added that a megger machine, an electrical device used to measure insulation resistance, was used to deliver electric shocks to Renukaswamy’s private parts.

“Darshan and his gang used the megger device to damage Renukaswamy’s testicle,” the chargesheet said.

On June 9, Renukaswamy’s body was found near a flyover in Bengaluru.

According to the police, Renukaswamy, a fan of actor Darshan, was kidnapped and murdered by a gang at the actor’s behest after he allegedly sent offensive messages on social media to actor Pavithra Gowda, who is rumoured to be Darshan’s partner.

Darshan is named as the second accused in the case, and his legal team is preparing to submit a bail plea. However, police sources said that since he is booked in three new cases related to luxury treatment inside the prison, obtaining bail will not be easy.
