Shiloh Jolie is one step closer to officially changing her last name.
Shiloh reportedly started the process in May, on her birthday, by filing the paperwork, but under California law, the petitioner must also have the documents published in a newspaper for at least four weeks to get a judge’s approval.
Shiloh isn’t the only child of Brad and Angelina who’s seemingly trying to change their last name, either.
In May, it was reported that her sister Vivienne, 16, was listed as “Vivienne Jolie” in the playbill for Broadway’s The Outsiders, which she worked on as an assistant and co-producer.
Their sister Zahara, 19, was also seen on video last year introducing herself as just “Zahara Marley Jolie” during an event for her college sorority.
Overall, Brad and Angelina have six children, including sons Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Knox, 15. Recently, a source told People that Brad has “virtually no contact with the adult kids,” but “he has visitation with the younger kids,” per a custody agreement.
So far, neither Brad nor Angelina has publicly commented on Shiloh’s reported attempt to legally change her last name, but Brad is said to be “aware and upset” by it.
“He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name,” a source told People. “He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter.”
The source also said, “The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”
