Shankar Mahadevan pays tribute to Zakir Hussain on his birth anniversary: ‘Keep blessing us from above’

On the 74th birth anniversary of legendary tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, heartfelt tributes poured in from fans and celebrities alike. Among them, singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan shared an emotional message on social media, remembering his late mentor and guru.
Taking to Instagram, Shankar Mahadevan posted a selfie with Zakir Hussain, both dressed in traditional attire, beaming with joy. In his touching note, he wrote, “Happiest birthday to my dearest Guru, mentor, and guiding light! Keep blessing us from above! You are there for us always, everywhere, all the time!
