Shalini Passi revealed that the legendary MF Hussain was a close friend of Sanjay Passi’s family.
Shalini Passi has become quite the sensation after her debut in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. After witnessing the billionaire’s fabulous life on screen, interest in her personal life has been piqued. Amid this, it was revealed that her wedding cards were designed by the legendary artist MF Hussain! Shalini recently opened up about how she got Hussain to design her wedding invitation.
Shalini told India Today, “Hussain Sahab has been very close to my husband’s family. My husband’s family approached him to make the wedding cards, and he said, ‘First, I’ll see the girl and then I’ll paint’. Then he saw me and said, ‘This is a Radha-Krishna jodi’, and he painted a set of four beautiful wedding cards. One was for the Mata Ki Chowki, one was for the Sangeet, one for the wedding and one for the reception.”
Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives was finally released on Netflix last month, marking the debuts of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Shalini Passi and Kalyani Saha. Among the three debutants, Shalini Passi seemingly managed to intrigue the audience the most, with her exquisite art collection, fashion game and sense of self.
Shalini Passi’s debut has created much intrigue about her personal life. Shalini Passi is among India’s billionaires. She is married to Sanjay Passi, the chairman of Pasco Group. It is a prominent name in the Tata Motors-certified dealerships in North India. They also have a son, Robin Passi. In 1999, Sanjay was awarded the Aaykar Ratna Award for being the highest taxpayer in the country. While not much is known about Shalini’s wedding to Sanjay, their love for one another was evident during his few appearances on her debut show.
Born and raised in Delhi, Shalini Passi is a woman who wears many hats. She is an art collector and art connoisseur with a penchant for music, dance, archery, shooting, scuba diving and fashion. She used to be a state-level gymnast before she became a patron of the arts. Shalini also runs the My Art Shalini and Shalini Passi Art Foundation. Both avenues promote emerging artists in India.
