NEW DELHI: Pakistan have been handed yet another penalty for a slow over-rate, their third in as many matches, capping off a forgettable ODI series against New Zealand with a 3-0 whitewash.
The Mohammad Rizwan-led side was fined five percent of their match fee following the third ODI at Mount Maunganui, where they were deemed one over short of the target after time allowances. The sanction was imposed by match referee Jeff Crowe of the ICC Elite Panel.

Rizwan accepted the charge without a formal hearing, with the on-field umpires Chris Brown and Paul Reiffel, third umpire Michael Gough, and fourth umpire Wayne Knights officiating.
The fine adds to Pakistan’s woes after a 4-1 loss in the preceding T20I series and a clean sweep in the ODIs, raising further questions about leadership and execution ahead of upcoming assignments.
