Samay Raina jokes with Tanmay Bhat amid India's Got Latent controversy; asks, "Kaand hota hai toh bhook nahi lagti?"

Comedian Samay Raina is currently in the news following the controversy involving YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia‘s inappropriate comments during an episode of the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent.’ Samay during his recent show shared a humorous exchange he had with fellow comedian Tanmay Bhat regarding the scandal, which burst laughter among the audience.
While touring in Canada as part of his “Samay Raina Unfiltered” tour, Raina addressed the aftermath of the incident during a live performance at Massey Theatre in Vancouver. During the show made a comment where he shared that after the “scandal” he asked fellow comedian Tamnay Bhat does a person loses their appetite.
As per a News18 report, film journalist Faridoon Shahryar shared that Samay Raina said, “Maine Tanmay bhat bhai se baat kiya, maine kaha tanmay bhai jab aisa kuch hota hai kaand toh aisa hota hai ki bhook nahi lagti? Toh unhone kaha haan bhook nahi lagti aise mein. Maine kaha aap kaise mote ho gaye the Phir? (I spoke to Tanmay Bhat, and asked when something like this happens does it make a person lose their appetite, He said, ‘you don’t feel hungry in such situations’ So I asked him, then how did you become so fat then?)”. For the unversed, the controversy sparked when Allahbadia posed a shocking question to a contestant, asking whether they would prefer to watch their parents have sex every day for the rest of their lives or join in once to stop it forever. This remark led to a huge outrage across social media and led to widespread condemnation, with many deeming it vulgar and inappropriate.
The controversy escalated further when multiple FIRs were filed against both Raina and Allahbadia, along with other panellists involved in the show. The situation drew the attention of law enforcement, with police summoning both comedians for questioning.
