Rohit Shetty confirms Deepika as his Lady Singham, film to release next year

The trailer for Cirkus, launched last week and the highlight for everyone was Deepika Padukone’s cameo. The actress has performed a special song for the movie, titled Current Laga. The song, which is out already, has become a rage among fans.

At the song launch, which was held on Thursday, fans were excited to know when Deepika and director Rohit Shetty would collaborate again for another project. Their last project Chennai Express was a hit both commercially and among fans.

Talking about their collaboration, the filmmaker said, “Everybody keeps asking me when I’ll introduce Lady Singham. So, here it is. Deepika Padukone will be the Lady Singham in Singham Again. She is my lady bomb from the cop universe, and we’re going to start working together on it next year.” Singham Again is the third instalment of the series and is part of Shetty’s cop universe.

Cirkus, which is inspired by William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, revolves around a double set of identical twins, who at birth were accidentally separated. 

The movie also features Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee and more. The film is set to release on December 23.
