Real or Fake? Elephant seen dancing on ‘Illuminati’, people dance along

Anything can happen in India, and on the Internet!
From bizarre surprises to iconic viral moments, India and the internet continue to deliver gold-tier content that leaves people around the globe amazed and often, delightfully confused. One of the latest viral gems? A video featuring what looks like an elephant dancing alongside a group of people to the infectious beat of the song Illuminati.
Yes, you read that right.
The 20-second clip is packed with high-energy moves, festive visuals, and a curious twist. It opens with effigies in the background, a vibrant crowd of dancers, and an “elephant” covered in ornate jewellery and rich, embroidered fabric. Despite the blaring music and high-octane energy of the dancers around it, the elephant remains unnervingly calm, just swaying its head and trunk gently like it’s fully vibing.
Then comes the beat drop. A few men tap the elephant’s trunk, and suddenly, it’s dancing too – shaking its legs, lifting its foot, and swaying in perfect rhythm. The crowd erupts with joy, but here’s the twist: the elephant isn’t real. It’s actually a man in an extremely convincing costume and this realisation only hits viewers halfway through the clip.
Needless to say, the internet is losing it.
Not every day do you see what appears to be a full-grown elephant pulling off synchronised dance moves, and that’s exactly what has people watching (and rewatching) the video. Some viewers didn’t immediately catch on, with one commenting, “Itna enjoy kar raha hai hathi,” and another hilariously adding, “In India, even the impossible has a jugaad — Illuminati vibes with a masala twist!”
Another surprised user wrote, “For a moment I thought it was really an elephant, but later I realised it was a man dressed as one.” One even joked, “Only in India can Illuminati conspiracies meet full-on dance choreography!”
The costume, complete with facial embellishments and majestic draping, was so realistic that many truly believed it was a live elephant grooving to the beat. And thanks to its joyful spirit, unexpected twist, and catchy soundtrack, the video continues to rack up views, shares, and laughs proving once again that desi internet always delivers.
