Ranveer Allahbadia appears before Assam police over controversial 'parental s*x' remark on India’s Got Latent

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia appeared before Assam Police in Guwahati on Friday over his remarks on India’s Got Latent. He was questioned by the Guwahati Crime Branch, with further details awaited.
The Guwahati Crime Branch earlier questioned YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, who was also part of the controversial episode. Joint Police Commissioner Ankur Jain said Chanchlani cooperated and may be called again if needed. Others involved haven’t responded to police notices yet and will receive new summons soon.

Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, is facing backlash for his remarks on India’s Got Latent. During an episode, he allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate question about body parts and made an indecent proposal for Rs 2 crore. The controversy escalated after he posed a shocking question about parental intimacy.

A police complaint was filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and co-judges Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. The FIR accuses them of promoting obscene and explicit content on the show, citing multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Ranveer Allahbadia previously apologized in a video statement, admitting his comment was inappropriate and not even funny. He acknowledged that comedy isn’t his strength and clarified that this isn’t how he wants to use his platform. Without offering any justification, he simply expressed regret for his remarks.
