"Rana Sanga's saga of patriotism, a golden chapter in history": Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi pays tribute to Rajput King

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday paid tribute to Rajput King Rana Sanga on his birth anniversary.
In a post on X, CM Yogi remembered Rana Sanga’s valour, patriotism, and unwavering dedication to protecting “dharma.”
“Heartfelt salutations on the birth anniversary of the mighty warrior Rana Sanga, who was devoted to the protection of dharma! His saga of patriotism and sacrifice is a golden chapter in history. His valour will continue to inspire and instil pride in the land of Bharat for generations to come,” CM Yogi Adityanath said.
Earlier, Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman sparked controversy with his statement on Rana Sanga, a 16th-century Rajput king, calling him a “traitor” for allegedly bringing Babur, the founder of the Mughal dynasty, to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.
On March 26, violence erupted outside the residence of SP MP Suman in Agra. Unidentified individuals resorted to stone pelting, breaking window panes and vandalising vehicles parked outside.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleged that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was also in the district during the attack, gave consent for this attack.
“The incident with Ramji Lal Suman is sad and should be condemned. Ramji Lal Suman is a Dalit MP and has a lot of experience and his residence was attacked when the Chief Minister himself was in the district. This attack took place with the consent of the Chief Minister of UP,” Akhilesh Yadav said.
Rana Sanga, also known as Sangram Singh I, was the ruler of Mewar from 1508 to 1528 and is revered for his bravery and sacrifices. Suman’s statement has been widely criticized, with many calling for an apology and action against him.
Earlier on March 28, members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Lucknow held a protest against Suman’s statement on Rajput king Rana Sanga,
