In a startling incident, a driver in Rajasthan’s Kota was shocked to discover a 3-foot-long black cobra hiding in his loading vehicle after a routine trip. The driver, Pritam, unaware of the snake’s presence, had been driving happily unaware of the snake’s presence during his journey. Only when he arrived home and the cobra emerged did he realise the danger. The snake was discovered after the driver parked the vehicle and exited.
Panic-stricken, he locked the car and immediately contacted snake catcher Govind Sharma for assistance. Sharma responded swiftly and arrived in the Awali Rojdi rural area to rescue the cobra. He safely removed the snake from the vehicle and released it into a nearby forest.
Sharma noted that incidents involving black cobras and other wild creatures entering vehicles are not uncommon, particularly during the monsoon season.
This case highlights the frequent challenges faced by residents in rural areas, where wildlife encounters in vehicles can occur unexpectedly.
