Priyanka Chopra arrives in Odisha to resume shooting for Mahesh Babu's 'SSMB29'

Superstar Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli‘s upcoming film, ‘SSMB29,’ is an adventure thriller that also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The second schedule of the film is currently underway in Odisha, with the entire cast and crew actively involved in the shoot.
As per a report by Pinkvilla, Priyanka Chopra was spotted at Odisha Airport, where she arrived to resume filming for ‘SSMB29.’. Her return to the set is expected to join Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. With this film, PC will be making her long-awaited return to Indian cinema after a hiatus, as she was last seen in ‘The Sky Is Pink.’.
Talking about the film, ‘SSMB29’ is described as a global jungle action-adventure film, drawing comparisons to the Indiana Jones series. The plot is rumored to feature Mahesh Babu in a role inspired by Lord Hanuman from Hindu mythology. The film’s massive budget of approximately Rs 900-1000 crore makes it one of the biggest projects in Indian cinema.Despite efforts to maintain secrecy, recently a leaked video from the sets of ‘SSMB29’ has surfaced online, featuring a dramatic scene with Mahesh Babu. The clip shows him being forced to kneel at gunpoint, with Prithviraj Sukumaran reportedly playing the antagonist. This is faced by filmmakers when shooting in outdoor locations, where controlling access and preventing unauthorized footage can be difficult. The open nature of these locations makes it difficult to control unauthorized access and filming by outsiders. Despite efforts to maintain secrecy, multiple leaks have surfaced, including photos of the grand set built on Talamali Hilltop.
The makers are reportedly working alongside international studios including Disney and Sony for a massive worldwide release of ‘SSMB29.‘.
