The Royal drama never ends. And now, it looks like Prince Harry’s explosive interview with the BBC, after losing his legal battle for security in the UK, hasn’t gone down too well with the UK Royals– especially his brother Prince William.
For the unversed, Prince Harry recently sat down with the BBC for yet another bombshell interview. While he spoke about missing the U.K. and wanting reconciliation with his family, insiders are saying Prince William isn’t buying it — and he might be plotting a major royal-level revenge with his younger brother.
According to a report from The Daily Beast, palace insiders claim the royal family is “stunned and frustrated” by Harry’s comments. But William? He’s apparently had enough. Word is that as soon as he takes the throne, one of his first royal acts could be stripping Harry and Meghan of their HRH titles — once and for all. This decision by Prince William (after he becomes the King)is also being much speculated ever since Meghan allegedly used her HRH title for promoting her brand ‘As Ever’– Harry and Meghan are prohibited from using their HRH title for commercial purposes.
A so-called “family friend” told The Daily Beast that Harry’s behaviour is “absolutely vile,” and that the interview proves he has zero interest in actually making peace. “If he really wanted to reconcile, he’d have stayed quiet. The HRHs will go,” the source declared. Yikes.
And it doesn’t stop there. A former courtier added that William is thinking long-term — and plans to completely “cut off” Harry from the royal circle when the time is right. “There’s no direct contact anymore, so it’ll be a clean break… And what better time to do it than during the chaos of royal succession?,” the insider said.
Meanwhile, Harry’s side of the story paints a different picture. In his recent BBC interview, he said, “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious.” He also opened up about why he won’t be returning to the U.K. anytime soon, explaining, “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back… I miss the U.K. It’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”
It’s clear Harry is feeling torn between his wife and children, and his family in the UK— but it’s also clear that William may be done playing the nice older brother.
So, will King William drop the royal hammer and finally end the Sussex saga once and for all? Stay tuned — this royal feud isn’t cooling down anytime soon.
