Preity Zinta recalls slapping Shah Rukh Khan in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna: 'That was not pretty'

Preity Zinta engaged in an impromptu chat with her fans on Twitter, on Friday morning, answering a variety of questions. During the session, she reminisced about an incident from the sets of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), where she ended up slapping Shah Rukh Khan for a scene.
The Karan Johar directorial starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Kirron Kher, Shah Rukh Khan, and Preity Zinta. In the film, Preity played Rhea Saran, the wife of Dev Saran (SRK), as they struggled with their failing marriage.
Preity responded to a 2015 tweet where she recalled slapping an actor too hard while filming Kya Kehna (2000). Reflecting on her past experiences, she admitted to making a similar mistake in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna but at SRK’s request.
“Oops! I did actually slap SRK in KANK… Not cuz I wanted to but cuz he wanted it to be real and that was not pretty either.”
When a fan jokingly asked if she enjoyed slapping Shah Rukh Khan, Preity clarified, “No! It was not for fun… moreover I don’t slap him… it was Rhea Saran who slapped him.”
A curious fan asked Preity whether her twins, Jai and Gia, have seen her iconic film Koi… Mil Gaya (2003). The actress responded, “They are too young to see any of my movies!”
