Picking IPL over PSL goes wrong! Corbin Bosch now apologies to Pakistan after one-year ban

NEW DELHI: South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch has expressed regret over his decision to withdraw from the 10th season of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In a statement, Bosch acknowledged the disappointment caused by his actions and offered sincere apologies to the people of Pakistan, the fans of Peshawar Zalmi, and the wider cricket community.
“I deeply regret my decision to withdraw from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and offer my sincere apologies to the people of Pakistan, the fans of Peshawar Zalmi and the wider cricket community,” the South African said.

“The PSL is a prestigious tournament, and I fully understand the disappointment caused by my actions. To the loyal fans of Peshawar Zalmi, I am truly sorry for letting you down.”
Bosch, who was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the tenth edition of the PSL Player Draft, recognised the prestigious nature of the tournament and the significance of his withdrawal.
Having joined the Indian Premier League side Mumbai Indians for the 2025 season as the replacement for Lizaad Williams, he took full responsibility for his actions and accepted the consequences, including a penalty fine and a one-year ban from the tournament.

“I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the consequences, including the penalty fine and the one-year ban from the PSL. This has been a hard lesson, but I am committed to learning from this experience and hope to return to the PSL in the future with renewed dedication and the trust of the fans,” he further added.
Bosch’s statement reflects an understanding of the gravity of his decision and its impact on the tournament, the team, and the fans.
By accepting the consequences and expressing a desire to learn and improve, he has demonstrated a level of accountability and a willingness to rectify the situation.
