
MUMBAI: Standard Chartered has appointed PD Singh as CEO for India, effective 1 April 2025, succeeding Zarin Daruwala, who retires on 31 March 2025. Singh brings nearly three decades of experience, having previously served as CEO of JP Morgan Chase Bank in India, where he played a key role in shaping the bank’s corporate banking franchise.
Before that, he spent a decade at HSBC in leadership roles across corporate and commercial banking. Standard Chartered has had a continuous presence in India for over 165 years, operating 100 branches.
