Pakistani Ranger captured by BSF along India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan

NEW DELHI: A Pakistani Ranger has been apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan, official sources confirmed on Saturday.
This incident follows the detention of BSF jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw by Pakistani Rangers on April 23 near the Punjab border. Despite strong protests from India, the jawan has not been returned.
The latest development comes amid heightened tensions between the two nations after a recent terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives — mostly tourists.
The Pakistani Ranger is currently in BSF custody under the Rajasthan frontier.
