Pakistani man stabs to death Indian migrant in Dubai

A family in Telangana is mourning the death of 40-year-old Ashtam Premsagar, a migrant worker and father of two from Nirmal district, who was fatally stabbed by a Pakistani man in Dubai on April 11 following a workplace dispute.
Premsagar, employed at a bakery chain, had gone to Dubai two-and-a-half years ago to support his joint family.
At the time of his departure, his wife Pramila was pregnant with their second child. He had not yet met his younger daughter and was planning a trip home to see her for the first time. On April 12, the family received a call from relatives in Dubai informing them Premsagar had been killed by a colleague after a dispute. Another man from Nizamabad district was also killed in the same attack, though his identity was not yet confirmed. “He was killed just because he was from India. We appeal for justice and also support from the govt,” said his brother Sandeep.
“He was stabbed repeatedly. Witnesses said my brother pleaded with the attacker, saying he has two daughters and old parents, but he didn’t stop.” His family is now trying to expedite the process of bringing back his body.
The family said they had received no official communication from the employer or the local authorities in Dubai.
“Even five days after the murder, neither his employers nor any local authorities have contacted us or shared any official information. We are completely in the dark and relying only on updates from our relatives in Dubai,” one of them said.
