Ospree Duty Free, a collaboration between MTRPL and APSEZ, India’s leading commercial port operator, is thrilled to announce the inauguration of duty-free outlets at two premier ports: Mundra and Krishnapatnam. MTRPL, a joint venture between AAHL and FTRPL, spearheads this venture. This significant expansion heralds a new era in enriching the shopping experience for both crew and passengers, fostering tourism, and fortifying India’s maritime trade.

In the initial stage, Ospree Duty Free will establish outlets at six seaports: Mundra and Krishnapatnam (recently launched), followed by Kattupalli and Hazira by the end of June, and Dhamra and Gangavaram by July 2024. These outlets will offer a diverse array of international duty-free products, spanning imported spirits, confectionery, fragrances, travel essentials, and local specialties. Covering a combined retail area of 6,500 square feet, they will cater to over 600 vessels per month.

“We are thrilled to bring world-class duty-free shopping to India’s leading ports. Our partnership with APSEZ allows us to provide exceptional value and convenience to international travellers and crew members. This initiative not only enhances the overall port experience but also aligns perfectly with our vision to expand our footprint and offer superior retail offerings,” said Avishek Bambii Das, CEO of Ospree Duty Free. “With state-of-the-art infrastructure and seamless connectivity, these ports are well-equipped to support this expansion.”
