A lot of Bollywood movies are re-releasing in theatres. From Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, Tumbbad, Gangs of Wasseypur, Sholay and many more are re-releasing and creating a lot of buzz among the masses. Well, now it seems that the trend of old and iconic TV shows returning to the screens is kicking in. As per a report in TellyExpress.com, the most iconic investigative TV crime thriller CID is making its return to SonyTV. As per the report, CID is gearing up for a revamp and will return to the TV screens after 6 years of the show going off-air. Reportedly, it will be by October that it will get a revamp. The show had many iconic characters. It had Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as Inspector Daya, Aditya Srivastava as Senior Inspector Abhijeet, Narendra Gupta as Dr Salunkhe and many more. Dinesh Phadnis played the role of Fedricks. He passed away in December 2023. As per the source of the entertainment news portal, SonyTV is planning to revive the serial and come up with a new season. However, there is no clarity on the cast yet. The channel has not confirmed or denied the rumours as yet. Apart from this, there is another news doing the rounds of social media that the channel is also planning to revive the popular horror show Aahat. The show that sent chills down the spine and was among the most discussed ones may also return to the TV sets. But, there is not confirmation on anything as yet. Reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 16, Laughter Chef’s: Fun Unlimited and many more are also among the top 10.
