Nora Fatehi recalls producers asking her to do songs for free in exchange for future roles and then disappear: ' I stopped relying on people'

Nora Fatehi, known for her dance numbers, is making a comeback as an actor with Crakk, Madgaon Express, and Be Happy. While she remains open to performing dance sequences, she prioritises her acting career and won’t compromise on it.
In an interview with BBC Asian Network, the actress shared how she has grown stronger over time. She no longer gets affected by rejections, gossip, or false promises. Instead of depending on agencies, producers, or directors, she now creates her own opportunities, relying on her skills, confidence, and determination to shape her career.

Nora revealed that she is constantly juggling work between Dubai and India, leaving no time for breaks, rest, or a personal life. She emphasized that she’s here to stay, balancing both Bollywood and her international music career. She also mentioned taking a break from songs for a year due to film commitments.

She further addressed misconceptions about her being arrogant, clarifying that she’s just confident and aware of her strengths. She pointed out the double standards in the industry, where actresses who do films can also perform in songs, but she faces hurdles transitioning to lead roles. She believes all artists should have equal opportunities.
Nora also acknowledged the talent of other women in the industry but dislikes being used as a marketing tool. She often gets compared to new performers, with critics making dismissive remarks. While recovering from an ankle injury, she saw some impressive dance numbers but felt many were poorly executed.
