
NEW DELHI: The accused driver in the Noida Lamborghini accident case, Deepak, has been granted bail by the District Court in Surajpur. The incident occurred near Sector 94 roundabout in the Sector-126 police station area, where a Lamborghini hit two pedestrians on a footpath adjacent to an under-construction building.

Speaking about the bail, Advocate Mayank Pachauri, lawyer of the accused said, “We moved a bail application in the court. The court granted bail with one surety. Within two days, we have to present the second surety in the court. The offence was bailable, so the court granted bail. The accident happened when he was on a test drive. The investigation is underway into the allegations…”

The injured, labourers from Chhattisgarh, were rushed to a nearby hospital and are reportedly out of danger, though they suffered leg fractures. A video of the aftermath surfaced online, capturing a conversation where a local questioned the driver about casualties, to which he responded, “Did anyone die here?” before stepping out of the car.
Police identified Deepak as a resident of Ajmer, with the car registered in Puducherry. He was arrested, and the vehicle was seized. During questioning, he claimed the accident occurred due to a fault in the car.
