No Respite From Air Pollution In Delhi, AQI In Several Areas Inches Close To 450 – News18

Delhi AQI remained in the ‘Very Poor’ category, however, the number deteriorated further on Friday morning.

The national capital continued to witness a deterioration in its air quality as several areas breathed ‘Severe’ air, hazardous for health, on Friday morning, as per the Central Pollution Control Board data at 7 am.

A thick layer of smog engulfed the city early morning as stubble burning continued in the neighbouring states, one of the major sources of air pollution in Delhi.

The highest AQI in the city went as high as 440 while the average figure was recorded to be 383 today. The AQI in Delhi was 366 at this time on Thursday, which further worsened to 377 by 4 pm. It was 352 at 4 pm on Wednesday.
