No change in small savings schemes' rates for 5th qtr

New Delhi: Finance ministry on Friday left interest rates unchanged on various small savings schemes, including PPF and NSC, for the fifth straight quarter beginning April 1, 2025. As per the notification, deposits under Sukanya Samriddhi scheme will attract an interest rate of 8.2%, while the rate on a three-year term deposit remains at 7.1% prevailing in the current quarter. The interest rates for popular PPF and post office savings deposit schemes too have been retained at 7.1% and 4%, respectively. Agencies
