CID Likely To Probe Killing Of Badlapur Sexual Assault Accused Amid Massive Row

Maharashtra’s Crime Investigation Department (CID) is likely to take up the ongoing investigation into the killing of Akshay Shinde, the accused in the Badlapur sexual assault case, officials said on Tuesday. Earlier, a team of forensic science experts examined the police vehicle in which Shinde was allegedly shot by a police officer on Monday evening and collected the blood samples and four empty bullet shells for investigation. In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old man was arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly spying on his tenant using cameras which he installed in her bedroom and bathroom when she was in her hometown. A total of three spy cameras and two laptops have been recovered from the accused, identified as Karan. According to sources, the victim, who is a UPSC aspirant, used to give the keys to the house to her landlord whenever she used to go back to her hometown. Read More
