Ecuador almost tied things up when Pervis Estupiñan scored in stoppage time in the first half, but the goal was overturned by offside decision. Enner Valencia scored in the 49th minute, marking his third of the tournament. Both teams went back-and-forth but weren’t able to score and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
