Veteran actress Neena Gupta is thrilled to become a grandmother to her daughter Masaba Gupta’s newborn, Matara. She shared her joy, calling it a special and emotional experience. Neena is excited about this new phase in her life and is cherishing every moment with her granddaughter.
In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Neena revealed that she is eager to create special memories with little Matara. The veteran star added that it still feels unreal since the baby is just four months old. She believes the real joy will come when Matara starts reacting, making her presence truly felt in their lives.

In an earlier interview with ANI, Neena revealed that she prefers not to be called naani by Masaba Gupta’s daughter, embracing a modern approach to family roles. She believes in breaking traditional norms and wants a unique bond with her granddaughter. Her contemporary outlook reflects her progressive mindset on parenting and relationships.

On October 12, Masaba Gupta and her husband, Satyadeep Misra, announced the birth of their baby girl through a joint Instagram post. Later, on Lohri, the couple revealed their daughter’s name, Matara, in a special social media update.
The post read, “3 months with my Matara. The name embodies the divine feminine energies of 9 Hindu goddesses, celebrating their strength and wisdom. Also, the star of our eyes happy Lohri.”
