MI vs LSG Live Score, IPL 2025: Struggling Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant face off in Lucknow

MI vs LSG Live Score, IPL 2025: The Ekana Stadium is set for a high-stakes IPL clash on Friday as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) host Mumbai Indians (MI) in a contest dominated by questions surrounding the form of two of India’s most prominent cricketers — Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma.

Both players have endured a lean run so far, and their lack of runs has significantly impacted their teams’ fortunes in the 2025 season.

Pant, now leading LSG, has scored just 17 runs in three matches. As the most expensive player in IPL history, the expectations were sky-high, but his inability to find rhythm with the bat is becoming a concern. With LSG losing their first home game comprehensively to Punjab Kings, pressure is mounting on the captain to deliver, especially with home support not yielding an advantage.

On the other side, Rohit Sharma’s quick-fire approach at the top hasn’t paid off either. His impatience at the crease has often resulted in early dismissals, leaving MI vulnerable. Despite a morale-boosting win over KKR, the five-time champions remain inconsistent with only two points from three games.

There is some optimism for LSG with the return of pacer Avesh Khan and Akash Deep expected to strengthen the bowling unit. However, both teams are in dire need of inspiration, and that may well come from their marquee players stepping up.

With Suryakumar Yadav and Nicholas Pooran capable of lighting up the evening, fans will hope for a thrilling contest, but the spotlight will firmly remain on Pant and Rohit.
