Mere Husband Ki Biwi box office collection Day 4: Arjun Kapoor crashes on Monday with just Rs 51 lakh

The romantic comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi, starring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar, has been on a downward slide at the box office since its release on Friday, February 21.
The rom-com saw its biggest dip in collections on its first Monday, when its collections couldn’t make it past the Rs 1 crore mark. After a modest debut collection of Rs 1.5 crore on Friday, the film’s collections rose to an estimated Rs 1.65 crore on Saturday. Its downward trend began on Sunday, with the film earning just around Rs 1.11 crore, thus bringing its first weekend collection to an estimated Rs 4.31 crore.
With Monday’s collections, the film’s overall collection now stands at an estimated Rs 4.82 crore net, according to early estimates on sacnilk.com.The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of around 9.21%, with morning shows starting at a sluggish 5.43% and night shows seeing a peak occupancy of 12.18%.
The film is facing stiff competition from ‘Chhaava’, starring Vicky Kaushal. The historical drama has been raking in the big bucks at the box office, powering its way to the Rs 400 crore mark. Although the movie is in its second week, it still managed to rake in a Rs 100 crore weekend collection, pushing its total collection to an estimated Inda net of Rs 345 crore net across all languages.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the competitive box office landscape poses a challenge for Mere Husband Ki Biwi, which has reportedly been produced on a budget of Rs 60 crore.
In Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Arjun Kapoor portrays Ankur Chaddha, a man caught in a love triangle with his ex-wife, played by Bhumi Pednekar, and his current love interest, portrayed by Rakul Preet Singh. As the film enters its first week, industry analysts are keen to see if it can gain momentum at the box office.
