'Mere Husband Ki Biwi' box office collection day 2 (Live): The Arjun Kapoor starrer earns Rs 1.5 crore on Friday, gets a slower start on Saturday

Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Rakul Preet Singh starrer ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ released on Friday and the film has left many pleasantly surprised. It is a romantic comedy which is an entertainer. However, despite the good reviews, the film had a dull opening, which is also expected from movies of this genre, post pandemic. It is also facing a tough competition from Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Chhaava’ which is roaring at the box office at the moment.
‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ made Rs 1.5 crore on day 1 at the box office according to Sacnilk. There was a buy one get one offer on Friday which further helped in this business. What may have worked in the film’s favour to get that initial buzz is the hit remix of the popular 90s song ‘Gori Hai Kalaiyaan’. Thus, with no offer on Saturday, the movie may further see a dip on Saturday. Or hopefully, if the numbers grow through word of mouth, it will be great. While it made Rs 1.5 crore on Friday, during the early morning shows, the film had made around Rs 4 lakh. The total collection of the movie so far is Rs 1.54 crore.
Meanwhile, ‘Chhaava’ managed to make a whopping Rs 23 crore at the box office on its second Friday. Thus the total collection of the movie so far is Rs 242 crore.
