Mayank Yadav has suffered another breakdown as the speedster has been ruled out of the remainder of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) with a back injury.“Mayank Yadav sustained a back injury and is ruled out for the remainder of the season,” read the IPL statement.Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have roped in New Zealand pacer William O’Rourke as an injury replacement for Mayank Yadav. William O’Rourke will be his replacement at a reserve price of ₹3 crore.The 22-year-old has played only two games, picking up two wickets at an expensive economy rate of 12.50.In his return match, Yadav picked up 2 for 40 against Mumbai Indians. But against Punjab Kings, he was taken for the cleaners. Mayank went for 60 runs in his four overs, the joint-worst figures by an LSG bowler in the IPL.After an extended rehabilitation at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE), pace sensation Mayank Yadav had joined LSG on April 16.
He has been out of action since then because of a back injury.
