Mawra Hocane, who starred in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam‘ alongside Harshvardhan Rane, is in lots of praise. The romantic drama returned to theaters nine years after its original release and found success despite competition from new films. Mawra recently expressed her desire to work with Ranbir Kapoor; she shared that she would have loved to be part of ‘Rockstar’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Mawra Hocane was asked about the type of films she would like to do with Ranbir Kapoor. She revealed, “I would have loved to do Rockstar.” She added that she has watched the film multiple times and deeply admires it.
The actress shared her wish to work on a meaningful film with directors like Kabir Khan or Imtiaz Ali. She said she wants roles that allow her to give a deep performance and take on real responsibility. She emphasized that she doesn’t just want to be in a film but hopes to add value and contribute creatively to the project.
In a chat with Mid-Day, Mawra talked about the much-awaited ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ sequel. She shared that the producer had contacted her about the project, but she hasn’t read the script yet and hasn’t decided on her involvement.
In an earlier conversation with Connect Cine, the actress expressed her excitement for the ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ sequel. She said she would be happy to return to her role but would also be fine if another actress took it on.
She credited the film’s growing popularity to the producers, especially Deepak Mukut, and felt he deserved recognition for its success. Regardless of her involvement, she wished the sequel great success and hoped it would exceed expectations. While she would love to be part of it, she assured fans she wouldn’t be disappointed if it didn’t happen.
The actress who portrayed Saru in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ recently married her longtime partner, Ameer Gilani. Interestingly, the film, which initially struggled at the box office, has seen an unexpected rise in popularity. After its theatrical re-release, the romantic drama has gone from being overlooked to becoming a major success.
