Linda Yaccarino announced Wednesday that she is stepping down as CEO at X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.
Yaccarino joined X in June 2023, shortly after billionaire Elon Musk bought the site. She said the decision to step down came after “two incredible years” at the company.
“When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company,” Yaccarino wrote in a statement. “I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.”
