India is a land that is known for its vast forests and wildlife. The country has various national parks and forest reserves that are home to a wide range of animals. The government of India has made these parks open to tourists as well. People from all over the country visit these parks to explore the forest and wildlife. One such national park, which is located in the southern part of the country, is Silent Valley National Park. It is located in the Western Ghats of Palakkad district in Kerala. Until now, the national park had opened safaris only for day tours, but now they have also gotten permission for night safaris as well.

Silent Valley National Park has opened its gates for the night safari as well. The four-kilometre distance from Mukkali to Keeriparai can be travelled in a forest department vehicle. In an interview with the warden of Silent Valley National Park, she said that the safari is conducted from 8 am to 2 pm. An evening safari to Keeriparai will be halted in the afternoon. In the evening, the safaris will start again. Officials of the Forest Division will make the final decisions on matters including rates.

The open part of Keeriparai, through the forest, is attractive for trekking. One can climb the Keeriparai to the watch tower and enjoy the natural beauty. There is also the Keeriparai Camp Shed, where tourists can also take a halt. The forest department is preparing a plan to provide more facilities in light of the increasing number of visitors compared to previous years.

Currently, there are 19 jeeps and two safari buses of the Eco Development Committee that take the tourists along with the guide to Sairandhri, which is 24 km away through the buffer zone. There are multiple packages available for tourists.
