Karisma Kapoor’s daughter Samaira turned 20 on March 11. Breaking her usual habit of keeping her children private, Karisma shared a heartfelt photo on Instagram Stories to celebrate the milestone. The image captures the mother-daughter duo walking together, hand-in-hand, on a bustling street with their backs to the camera.

Karisma and her daughter Samaira made a stylish statement by twinning in identical outfits. Both wore black full-sleeved tops paired with wide-legged jeans. Karisma accessorized with a cap and a bag, while Samaira opted for a minimalist look. The photo was captioned “Birthday Girl” with two white heart emojis and set to the upbeat tune of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.”
Meanwhile, Karisma tied the knot with Sunjay Kapur in September 2003, starting a family with their daughter Samaira, born on March 11, 2005, and son Kiaan, born on March 12, 2010. However, their marriage came to an end when they divorced in 2016. Following the separation, Karisma filed a domestic violence case against Sunjay and his mother, citing allegations of physical abuse and infidelity. Sunjay has since moved on and married actress Priya Sachdev.
On the professional front, Karisma Kapoor’s latest appearance was in the Netflix film ‘Murder Mubarak‘, a gripping murder mystery directed by Homi Adajania. The film features a star-studded cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, Suhail Nayyar, and Tara Alisha Berry. It was released on Netflix on March 15, 2024.
