Joseph Radhik calls Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding ‘definition of a perfect wedding’, compares it to Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth’s ceremony

Popular celebrity wedding photographer Joseph Radhik, who is known for capturing some of the most iconic weddings, recently reflected on his favorite wedding project. Speaking at India Today’s event, The Wedding Photographer, Radhik shared that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s intimate 2017 wedding in Tuscany remains one of the most special events he has ever covered.
The ace photographer praised the couple for staying true to themselves on their big day, highlighting how rare it is to see such authenticity at weddings. “In 2017, I got married, and by the end of the year, we photographed Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding. Being there, amidst a small, intimate group of around 50 people, felt like witnessing the definition of a perfect wedding,” Radhik said.
He further elaborated on how many weddings feel like events where guests wear metaphorical masks, engaging in celebrations with people they may not even know. However, Virat and Anushka’s wedding was refreshingly different. “They were 100 percent just themselves. It felt more like a house party, where you could simply relax, enjoy, and decide whether or not you wanted to dance,” he added.

Drawing a parallel to another high-profile wedding, Radhik mentioned Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth’s 2024 wedding, which, according to him, shared similar warmth and simplicity. “In my entire career, I’ve seen less than ten weddings like that. The most recent was in 2024, with Aditi and Siddharth. Again, it was an intimate gathering, surrounded by people with whom they could be their true selves. No formalities, no elaborate planning, just pure and unfiltered joy,” he remarked.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in December 2017 in a fairytale wedding in Tuscany, Italy, attended only by close family members. The couple later hosted grand receptions in Delhi and Mumbai.
