Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially heading towards a divorce. Lopez filed for divorce after two years of marriage. The date of separation, listed April 26, coincides with the anniversary of their Riceboro, Georgia-set wedding ceremony in 2022 after they first eloped in Las Vegas a month prior.
The pair officially married in July 2022. They had previously been together in the early 2000s, but their relationship did not work out.
In one of her social media posts announcing her marriage, Lopez had written, “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.” She had signed off as Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
After their Las Vegas wedding, JLo and Ben married again in a lavish ceremony in Georgia on 20 August 2022, exactly two years ago.
While the couple haven’t formally opened up about their decision to divorce, there have been speculations of separation for months. They reportedly put their Beverly Hills mansion up for sale at $65m and were often photographed not wearing their wedding rings.
