Javed Akhtar praises Virat Kohli after India Vs Pakistan match, slams trolls for spreading communal hate: 'Tum kya jaano desh prem' - See inside

India won against Pakistan by 6 wickets on Sunday and Virat Kohli was the player of the match with his century as he remained not out. While India is celebrating this victory, people cannot stop gushing over Virat Kohli as they call him ‘King Kohli‘. Amongst the many who are gushing over Kohli on social media, veteran screenwriter Javed Akhtar also praised the cricketer. He took to his X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Virat Kohli, zindabad (long live)!!! We all are so so so proud of you!!”
However, people started trolling Akhtar as they replied to his tweet. A user said, “Javed. Babar ka baap Kohli hai (Kohli is Babar’s father). Bolo (say), Jai Shree Ram.” Akhtar gave a befitting reply to the troll and wrote, “Maen to sirf yeh kahoonga ke tum eik neech insaan ho aur neech hi marogay. Tum kya jano desh prem kya hota hai.”
Another user took a dig at him and said, “Aj suraj kaha se nikla. Andar se dukh hoga apko to.” Javed also slammed him and responded, “Beta jab tumhare baap dada angrez ke jootay chaat rahe thay tab mere aazadi ke liye jai aur kala paani mein thay . Meri ragon mein desh premion ka khoon hai aur tumhari ragon mein angrez ke naukaron ka khoon hai . Iss anter ko bhoolo nahin (Son, when your grandfather was licking the boots of the British, I was fighting for our freedom in the jail and in Kala Pani. My veins carry the blood of patriots, while yours carry the blood of British servants. Don’t forget this difference).”
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma also showered love on Virat after the match. She dropped a photo of him with heart emoji. Vicky Kaushal and many other celebs dropped appreciation post for Kohli.
