According to a report, Jaideep Ahlawat is expected to be seen in a crucial role in the upcoming season of The Family Man.
The Family Man has been one of the most popular spy thrillers on Indian OTT gathering a cult following. The Raj and DK-directed series has released two successful seasons so far and is gearing up for its third season. The series is led by Manoj Bajpayee alongside Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi and others. Reportedly, the makers have begun filming for the new season in Nagaland and actor Jaideep Ahlawat has joined the cast of The Family Man season 3.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Jaideep Ahlawat is expected to be seen in a crucial role in the upcoming season of The Family Man. A source while talking to the portal said, “Jaideep Ahlawat has joined the star cast of The Family Man 3 and also joined the schedule in the North-Eastern state of Nagaland. The makers have kept his character strictly under wraps. Hence, there’s no information available on what role he plays in the series.”
The source further added that Ahlawat’s casting would increase the excitement of the show among fans, given his acting skills and popularity from his latest performances.
Meanwhile, Manoj Bajpayee and the team have started filming for the third season. Speaking about the new season, the actor told The Lallantop, “We will pick up from where we left last season. I can assure that this time Family Man will be bigger than the previous season. Bada sundar aur bhayanak hoga. There will be new circumstances, new situations. This time Srikant Tiwari is in that phase of his life where his kids have grown up and even Srikant has grown old a bit, but the challenges don’t leave him.” He had mentioned that most of the shoot would happen in the North East.
Manoj Bajpayee plays Srikant Tiwari in the series, a middle-class man who secretly works as an intelligence officer for the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell. Created by Raj and DK, both seasons of the series premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The series also stars Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in supporting roles. In the second season, Samantha Ruth Prabhu played the antagonist.
