'It's Lalu Yadav's party and his son will be the CM face': Prashant Kishor targets RJD's 'family politics'

NEW DELHI: Poll strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor on Sunday targeted RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav, accusing the party of dynastic politics and sidelining its ally, the Congress, saying that it has no footing in Bihar.
“There is no doubt about it, Tejashwi Yadav is the CM face of the Mahagathbandhan,” Kishor said. “It’s a family-based party, and no discussion is needed, as everyone knows it’s Lalu Yadav’s party and his son will be the face. Congress has no say in Bihar.”
Taking a further dig at Tejashwi, Kishor said, “Tejashwi Yadav and his father just know two things: to talk about caste and religious fanaticism against the BJP. Except for this, he neither studied nor learned anything. He keeps making absurd statements… He talks about other castes, but he should first do something for the Yadavas.”
On the issue of national security following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, Kishor said such matters are best left to the Centre. “National security and foreign policy are the domain of the central government and Parliament. They are capable of taking action, and that’s why the people have elected them to power.”
Meanwhile, Kishor is gearing up for his electoral debut in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections of 243 seats. He has chosen to go solo, keeping his political outfit, Jan Suraaj, independent of any alliance.
Kishor extensively toured the state to build momentum for his political venture and voiced support for the BPSC protest in Patna. Throughout his campaign, he has consistently taken jabs at all major political parties in Bihar.
