IPL lowest score: Where does RCB's 95/9 vs PBKS stand on the list?

NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) endured a night to forget at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday as they registered one of their lowest scores in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Their innings against Punjab Kings (PBKS) crumbled spectacularly in Match 34 of IPL 2025, as RCB managed 95 runs for 9 wickets in a rain-curtailed 14-over fixture that turned disastrous for the home side.
With this performance, RCB’s total now ranks as the joint-38th lowest score in the tournament’s history, joining an infamous list of batting collapses over the years.

It all started going downhill from the very first over, with opener Philip Salt dismissed for just 4.
Star batter Virat Kohli fell cheaply too, managing only 1 run off 3 balls. Captain Rajat Patidar fought briefly with a 23 (18 balls), but none of the others could hold fort as wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals.

Poll

What do you think was the main reason for RCB’s poor performance against Punjab Kings?

Tim David (50 not out) was the standout batter for RCB as his final over heroics, including multiple sixes, helped Bengaluru pose a respectable total. Punjab’s bowlers put on a clinical show.
Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett, Harpreet Brar and Yuzvendra Chahal shared the spoils, keeping things tight and unrelenting throughout.

  • 59 all out – Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (2023)
  • 66 all out – Delhi Daredevils vs Mumbai Indians (2017)
  • 67 all out – Delhi Daredevils vs Kings XI Punjab (2017)

The RCB collapse echoed memories of their previous lowest total: 49 all out against KKR in 2017.
Their performance tonight finds itself firmly etched in the history books, for all the wrong reasons.

RCB’s batters had no answers to Punjab’s disciplined bowling, and fans will be hoping this outing was just a one-off disaster.
As for the Kings bowlers, it was a night of dominance, confidence, and clinical execution.
