NEW DELHI: The IPL 2025 fixture between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), originally scheduled to take place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, has been officially relocated to the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.The match, set for Friday, May 23, will still be considered a home game for RCB, despite the shift in venue. SUBSCRIBE NOW!In a statement released on Tuesday, the IPL confirmed: “The IPL Match No. 65 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has been relocated to the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, due to unfavourable weather conditions in Bengaluru.”To account for weather-related delays, the IPL has also introduced an extended playing window for all remaining league stage matches, similar to playoff games.“An additional one hour will be allocated to the playing conditions for the remaining matches of the league stage, starting Tuesday, 20 May,” the statement added.

RCB have already sealed a playoff berth and will be looking to fine-tune their form heading into the knockout phase. SRH, meanwhile, are out of contention but will aim to finish their campaign on a high note. They registered a morale-boosting win against Lucknow Super Giants earlier this week and will hope to carry that momentum into their final stretch of the tournament.This venue change adds another twist to an already unpredictable IPL season, as the league continues to adapt to weather and scheduling challenges.
