
NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday officially unveiled the schedule and venues for the highly-anticipated playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, with Ahmedabad’s iconic Narendra Modi Stadium set to host the grand finale on June 3.In a media release, BCCI honorary secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the playoff stage will begin with Qualifier 1 at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh on Thursday, May 29, featuring the top two teams of the league phase. SUBSCRIBE NOW!The caravan will then move to Ahmedabad, where the Qualifier 2 — a clash between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator — will be held on Sunday, June 1, before culminating in the season finale on Tuesday, June 3, also at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The decision to shift the playoffs from originally shortlisted venues Hyderabad and Kolkata came after a one-week suspension of the tournament mid-season. The IPL Governing Council cited weather conditions and logistical parameters as key reasons for finalising the revised playoff venues.
