
Mumbai Indians have signed leg-spinner Raghu Sharma as a replacement for the injured Vignesh Puthur, who is learnt to have picked up a bone stress reaction in both shins, for the remainder of IPL 2025. Sharma, who comes in at his base price of Rs 30 lakhs from the Registered Available Player Pool (RAPP) list, will be making his IPL debut.
The 32-year-old Sharma, born in Jalandhar, Punjab, brings significant domestic cricket experience to the Mumbai Indians squad. He has represented both Punjab and Puducherry in domestic cricket competitions.

His first-class cricket record is particularly impressive, having taken 57 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 19.59. His best bowling performance in this format stands at 7/56.
Sharma has also proven his capabilities in List A cricket, claiming 14 wickets in 9 matches with best figures of 4/37. His T20 experience includes three matches where he has picked up three wickets.
