While there has been no official confirmation, the report says the decision was made during recent internal BCCI meetings, with weather conditions playing a key role in the proposed venue selection for the playoff matches. If confirmed, the Narendra Modi Stadium would also host Qualifier 2 on June 1, setting the stage for two of the most crucial fixtures of the tournament in Ahmedabad.The report also says that the playoff matches – Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator – are likely to be played at the new stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, on May 29 and May 30, respectively.
