Internet goes crazy about new Chat GPT's Ghibli style images

Studio Ghibli has an ardent and dedicated fan base across the world. The beautiful creations of media produced by the studio are some of the most loved cinematic creations for many. Indian cinema lovers have also been on the Ghibli bandwagon for quite a few years, with the popularity of the studio growing among people who love the serene yet evocative voice that Ghibli creations have.
Thus, there’s no wonder why the internet is going crazy with joy while experimenting with OpenAI’s new image-generating feature that allows the user to convert any normal image into its Ghibli version. GPT-4o was recently upgraded with advanced image generation capabilities. The feature titled, “Images in ChatGPT” just requires the user to upload an image and ask the model to transform it into the Ghibli anime style.

What are Ghibli images?

Ghibli style of media be it images, movies or short films visually inspired by Studio Ghibli, a famous Japanese animation studio popular for its unique hand-drawn animations, imaginative worlds and captive storytelling. These images feature lush backgrounds, soft colour palettes and nostalgic vibes, thus differing from the bright-coloured modern animations.
