Continuing the post-Diwali euphoria, Cartier and Kapoor Watch Company came together at the French Embassador’s Residence in New Delhi to celebrate the art of horology. In an evening packed with the maison’s signatures like—the towering Roman numerals and the Santos-inspired infinity wall, aglow in the Maison’s signature ‘Cartier red’.
As the capital’s who-who came together for a balmy soirée sipping bubbly and nibbling on petit-fours, the collection on display spotlightighted the skeletal aspect of watchmaking. On display were pieces like the La Panthère, an emblem of independence and fearless style with an extra supple bracelet evocating the feline’s attitude, while the 1930s-inspired Zelda payed homage to its namesake American artist.
“When you look at Cartier’s skeleton watches, you’re witnessing generations of innovation distilled into pure mechanical artistry. Proud to mention that this showcase at the French Ambassador’s Residence in New Delhi brings together two houses that understand that luxury is not just about what you see but about the story behind every detail,” as remarked by Gaetan Guillosson, Cartier India’s Country Manager.
Pratiek & Raunaq Kapoor, Directors of Kapoor Watch Company, said, “It’s an absolute
honour for us to bring the world of Cartier’s ‘Art of Shaping Time’ to India. Cartier is known for
their attention to detail and experiences internationally, and for the first-time ever, we, in
partnership with Cartier have brought their legendary brand story in full spirit for clients to touch and feel.
The evening served as a reminder that beyond the lulling allure of watches and all things luxury, exists a process of backbreaking craftsmanship and years of perfecting the endless cycle of creation and curation.
