During the meeting, all telecommunications companies pledged their full support to the government, agreeing to activate immediate measures including 24/7 network monitoring, in response to the current situation, according to news agency PTI, quoting sources. The telecommunications department issued a detailed memorandum outlining these measures on the same day.Service providers were instructed to provide contact details of their control centre nodal officers and ensure seamless roaming arrangements for round-the-clock customer connectivity. They received instructions to maintain sufficient diesel reserves to power towers through DG sets during potential power outages. The companies were directed to set up monitoring centres and ‘war rooms’ to keep constant watch and coordinate closely.
