India have extended their dominance against arch-rivals Pakistan by winning their latest encounter in Dubai in the Champions Trophy. Led by Virat Kohli’s unbeaten century, India romped home with six-wickets to spare on Sunday.
As a result, India have now won 18 of the 22 matches between these two teams in ICC tournaments (T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy).

Pakistan have only been able to get the better of India during the 2004 Champions Trophy, 2009 Champions Trophy, 2017 Champions Trophy and the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Additionally, India also kept their supremacy over the neighbours since 2010. India have now 13 of 18 ODIs in the last 15 years with only four losses and one game finishing without an outcome.

Champions Trophy 2025: India, Pakistan apply final touches before blockbuster

India were also able to level the head-to-head record between the two teams in the Champions Trophy. India and Pakistan are now on even footing at 3-3, shunning the heartbreak of 2017 where the Men in Green walloped the Men in Blue by 180 runs.
In the contest on Sunday, Virat Kohli hit an unbeaten ton to push the title holders and hosts to the brink of elimination.
India comfortably reached the 242 run target with 45 balls to spare and moved closer to the semi-finals with two wins in two. Pakistan, meanwhile, have lost both their matches and need other results to go their way if they are to squeeze into the last-four.
