NEW DELHI: Star Indian batter Virat Kohli dropped a major hint about his cricketing future on Saturday, admitting that he “might not have another Australia tour in him.” Kohli made the candid revelation while speaking at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Innovation Lab after arriving in Bengaluru ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Reflecting on his recent struggles on Australian soil, Kohli stated, “I might not have another Australia tour in me, so I am at peace with whatever happened in the past.” The statement has sparked speculation among fans about whether the cricketing icon is considering stepping away from Test cricket in the near future.

Kohli also opened up about his post-retirement plans, expressing uncertainty about what lies ahead. “I actually don’t know what I will be doing post retirement,” Kohli admitted. “Recently, I asked a teammate the same question and got the same reply. Yeah, but maybe a lot of traveling.”
The prolific batter also took pride in India’s triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai, emphasising how the team’s adaptability to conditions proved decisive. “We as a team adapted to the conditions better than others, hence won the Champions Trophy,” Kohli remarked, reflecting on the successful campaign.
Kohli also expressed optimism about the future of women’s cricket in India, particularly the Women’s Premier League (WPL). “WPL is going to grow, and you cannot cater only to men’s sport if you want to grow as a sporting nation,” he said, highlighting the importance of balanced development.

Earlier, in a video shared by RCB on social media, Kohli was seen posing in the iconic RCB jersey with a caption reading, “The King is here and like always, he’s 2 steps (sometimes a LOT more) ahead of everyone.”
